The world's first 3D-printed steel bridge debuted in Amsterdam earlier this summer. Using data from over a dozen sensors installed on the bridge, scientists have built a "digital twin" of the structure to monitor its performance. If successful, this construction method could prove useful for infrastructure projects in the U.S.
