Seonglae ChoCloudflare WARP is a VPN service built on the WireGuard protocol. While it improves privacy and security, it isn’t a “full” VPN in the strict sense—when accessing certain sites, it may still expose the user’s IP address. One benefit is that it can make access to sites with overseas cache servers feel significantly faster.
WARP+ can be noticeably faster than standard WARP because it uses to route traffic more efficiently. At WWDC 2021, Apple announced iCloud+; WARP’s approach (which doesn’t send the user’s IP) is similar to Private Relay.
