Kouign-amann
A pastry that originated in Brittany, in northwestern France. It’s made by folding layers of butter and sugar into dough and baking it, giving it a caramelized, crispy exterior and a moist interior. The name comes from Breton: kouign means “cake” and amann means “butter.”
The Japanese kouign-amann spread is good (KALID).
