MBTI GPT is an AI service that analyzes chat data and generates reports about the personalities of people in a chatroom based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). It provides percentages for each of the four MBTI metrics, accompanied by quoted utterances from your chats with friends. This makes it engaging to share with friends and post on social media. By leveraging the high correlation between online behavior and actual personality traits, we have created a compelling AI product for personality assessment.
The technological innovation behind MBTI GPT is notable. First, I integrated a lightweight real-time text embedding model using the ONNX runtime into the web backend, resulting in a 30% performance improvement. Second, in-memory text splitting and indexing through Facebook's Faiss allow for secure and efficient handling of chat data. These advancements lead to a fine-grained user experience and a remarkable UI. Since its launch, MBTI GPT has analyzed data for over 1,000 users, receiving positive feedback for its engagement and enjoyment.

I am researching Interpretable AI and pursuing an MSc in Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development at University College London. My main interest lies in Mechanistic Interpretability, a core component of recent research on AI Alignment and steering AI, which aligns closely with OpenAI's mission. My research has been published in EMNLP 2024, and I have presented at an international conference, highlighting my work in the AI field. Sharing Project Strawberry’s release as a Master's student would bridge industry and academia. As someone from South Korea, I believe my participation would contribute to the diversity of the event.
