Unlike Node.js or Linux, Python doesn't specifically have a designated LTS (Long Term Support) version. However, after the official release, each version has a lifespan of 18 months, followed by 3 years and 6 months of security-related updates. The 18-month period is called the "Full Bugfix Support" period, and typically two versions have this support simultaneously.
Based on new feature candidates and bugs found in existing versions, Release Candidate (RC) versions are created, and one of these multiple RC versions is chosen to become the official release.
