GEI Program Structure
Students in the GEI program will receive a stipend and housing (or housing allowance) from the host company. Though your stipend amount and housing arrangement will vary from company to company, at a minimum the compensation will be sufficient to cover housing, local meals, transportation and other basic living expenses. The estimated support from companies is about USD $3,000–$6,000 for the summer period. If the host does not provide airfare, Stanford will provide a travel stipend to cover round-trip airfare to and from the city in which student’s internships will take place. All students will be required to provide their own health insurance for the duration of their stay.
