카카오 대표 캐릭터 '라이언'이 그려진 에어택시를 볼 수 있을까. 카카오모빌리티가 글로벌 UAM 기체 제조사 볼로콥터(Volocopter)와 '한국형 UAM 서비스 모델 고도화 및 상용화 준비를 위한 업무협약'을 체결했다고 23일 밝혔다. 양사는 지난 7월부터 국내 시장 환경 분석부터 실제 UAM 서비스 운영에 필요한 요건을 규명하는 'UAM 서비스 상용화 실증 연구'를 공동으로 진행해왔다.
