For a 15-credit module in the MSc Computer Science programme, the typical expectation is that students will need to undertake a significant amount of independent study and work - beyond the set lectures and seminars. At UCL, one credit is typically equivalent to 10 hours of total study time, which includes both contact hours (lectures, seminars, etc.) and independent study.
For a 15-credit module:
Total study time: 15 credits * 10 hours/credit = 150 hours
