도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령이 19일(이하 현지시간) 오라클과 월마트가 중국계 동영상 공유 플랫폼 틱톡과 협력하는 합의안을 원칙적으로 승인했다고 밝혔다. 법정 소송으로까지 갔던 틱톡의 내려받기 금지 중단을 비롯한 틱톡 위기가 사실상 해소됐다. CNBC 등 외신에 따르면 트럼프 대통령은 이날 노스캐롤라이나로 출발하기에 앞서 백악관에서 기자들에게 "이 합의를 축복했다"면서 "합의에 이르렀다면 이는 위대한 일이고, 만약 그렇지 않았다면 그 또한 괜찮다"고 말했다.
