People with high Resilience, endurability, or outstanding performance have thicker aMCC and higher activation levels. To train the aMCC, its activation level increases through the accumulation of experiences where you endure and accomplish tasks you don't want to do. Sport not only builds athletic ability but also strengthens the aMCC. This explains well the winner effect, where winners continue to win through a positive feedback loop. The aMCC strengthening effect is even greater in underdog situations, and outstanding athletes also show high Neuroplasticity.
