, and you must delegate to your team members. You shouldn't try to do everything alone; you need to build trust through sync. This requires investing significant time in syncing, aligning with each person one by one as the number of people you manage grows
Delegation means researching something and summarizing it to report back to me. A person who takes input requirements, processes them well, and provides output with added value and opinions. If someone only produces output that matches the input, they're just a cog in the organization and cannot prove their value. Large corporations aren't much different. The rules and expectations around output are simply stricter, but if you follow them, you can gain recognition. Therefore, you can ask someone to research a new technology or stack and request that they explain it in simple terms. The higher the position, the more you should delegate and receive reports.

Consideration

  • Tasks you don't want to do can be done by others
  • Tasks you enjoy are those only you can do
  • If it's a task you don't want to do but must do yourself, handle it quickly
  • If it's something you want to do but others can do it, consider whether it will help you grow
From a business perspective, adapt work to people, not people to work
